Delhi Airport Terminal Shuffle: Air India Domestic Flights Move to T2 and T1 from October 26
Starting October 26, 2025, Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport will undergo a major operational change as Air India and Air India Express shift their domestic flights to new terminals. The move comes as part of the expansion and modernization of Terminal 3 (T3), which will soon cater exclusively to international operations. Under the new arrangement, Air India’s domestic flights will operate partly from Terminal 2 (T2), while Air India Express will manage all its domestic routes from Terminal 1 (T1).
The restructuring aims to enhance passenger convenience and streamline future international capacity at T3. To help travelers adjust, Air India will issue four-digit flight numbers starting with ‘1’ for flights departing from T2. Passengers are advised to double-check terminal details before departure and arrive early for smooth travel. Shuttle services and baggage transfers between terminals will ensure connectivity remains hassle-free, while all international flights for both carriers will continue operating from T3.
