India’s e-Arrival Card Becomes Mandatory at Delhi Airport from April 2026
Starting April 2026, international travellers arriving at Indira Gandhi International Airport will be required to complete a digital e-Arrival Card before entering the country. Introduced by the Bureau of Immigration, the new system replaces the traditional paper disembarkation form that passengers used to fill out on arrival. The move is aimed at making the immigration process faster, more efficient, and fully digital for travellers entering India.
Travellers must submit the e-Arrival Card online within 72 hours before their arrival, providing details such as passport information, flight details, purpose of visit, and their address in India. Once the form is completed, passengers will receive a digital confirmation that must be presented during immigration checks. The new process is expected to reduce queues at airports and simplify entry procedures while enhancing travel efficiency at one of India’s busiest international gateways.
