Aviation Expansion indigo to start direct Mumbai – Copenhagen flights from October 8
IndiGo India’s leading low-cost carrier, has launched direct flights between Mumbai and Copenhagen, marking its first entry into the Nordic region. The new route, which started on October 8, 2025, operates three times a week using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft leased from Norse Atlantic Airways. This strategic expansion aims to strengthen connectivity between India and Northern Europe, making it easier for travelers to access Denmark’s rich culture, vibrant business environment, and as a gateway to other Nordic countries.
With the addition of Copenhagen, IndiGo international destinations now total 44, expanding its global footprint alongside recent launches to cities like Amsterdam and Manchester. Passengers can expect a comfortable journey on the Dreamliner, known for its modern amenities and fuel efficiency, while enjoying flexible travel options with three weekly flights. This move demonstrates IndiGo commitment to enhancing international connectivity and offering Indian travelers more direct and convenient options for exploring Europe.
